Great ShakeOut: October 15, 2026The safety of our students and staff is a top priority. LCE works closely with LCUSD and local first responders to maintain comprehensive emergency preparedness plans and conduct regular safety drills throughout the school year.
The LCE PTA supports these efforts by helping provide emergency supplies and resources as funding allows. Please mark your calendar for the Great Shake Out on October 15, 2026.

LCE joins millions of participants worldwide in the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill every October.
Want to help with emergency preparedness? We are looking for parent volunteers to help throughout the year and with the annual Great ShakeOut earthquake drill on Thursday, October 15th, at 10:15 AM.
The Great ShakeOut is a great opportunity for our students, staff, and the entire LCE community to practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" and review our emergency procedures.

- Review your family's emergency and reunification plan.
- Keep ParentSquare notifications enabled for important school updates.
- Talk with your child about emergency procedures in an age-appropriate way.
- Consider volunteering to support emergency preparedness initiatives.
