Steam

STEAM Nights – We will have 2 STEAM night events this school year, one in Fall/Winter and one in Spring (Dates TBD).  We need parents to assist with activity stations and help with setup and cleanup.  With your help, we will have fun-filled, memorable evenings to foster our kids’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.  The committee chair, Shelly Bian, will be in touch as the dates approach.

STEAM Week – This year's STEAM Week will take place from March 9th-12th.

Building upon the foundations of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), STEAM week aims to emphasize the crucial role of arts integration in fostering holistic learning, creativity, and innovation.

Key elements of STEAM week include:
  • Having the students engage with concepts from various disciplines, realizing the interconnectedness of subjects and their real-world applications.
  • Perform some creative problem-solving to encourage students to think innovatively, develop unique solutions, and push boundaries.
  • Have hands-on learning experiences involving students in practical activities and projects, fostering deeper understanding and engagement.
  •
In essence, our STEAM week aims to promote curiosity and lifelong learning. To spark curiosity, encourage questioning, and nurture a love for learning and exploration in students of ALL ages at LCE.

STEAM Week is coordinated by your Pack 512 Cub scouts, allowing them an opportunity to provide service, support STEAM as we always do our best!
